Let’s not act like ugly sweaters aren't a cultural phenomenon. Whether it’s competing at parties to find the most atrocious thrift store gem or embracing them as quirky brand merch, these eye-catching pieces of knitwear have woven (see what I did there?) themselves back into popular culture, irony optional.
For Tofurky’s 2019 holiday campaign, it was time to join the sweater game and make our mark. As part of our push for cultural relevance, we leaned into the fun, festive vibe and created ugly sweaters with a Tofurky twist.
The designs weren’t just about fashion—they were about fandom. These sweaters gave our fans something bold to bring to the holiday table. They said, “Yes, I’m eating a vegetarian roast that looks like a rubber ball, and I’m proud of it.” The result? A wearable celebration of Tofurky’s playful, plant-based spirit that made our fans stand out for all the right reasons.
